Product: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M426fdn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Attempting to access the EWS (embedded web server) in my LaserJet Pro MFP M426fdn fails. If I attempt to access it via HP Smart I get the error message: "hp smart can't open printer home or ews page"

 

Attempting to access it directly via Edge or Chrome gives me "the connection was reset". (Although I sometimes receive a message indicating no data was available),

 

I have verified that I have the correct IP address by looking at the configuration report, and by pinging the printer from the command line.

 

The printer is interfaced with hardwired ethernet, and a manually entered IP address.

 

I have been able to access the EWS in the past (a year or two ago), but could not when I tried today. Note that I tried to access it from two different computers, 1 running Win 10 and the other Win 11,
