Hi,
Recently I replaced my wifi router; and needed to change the wifi settings (password of the wifi).
Originally I used hp smart app on my android phone to configure wifi settings in the printer. I need to go that way also this time. Now I followed the instruction from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laser-mfp-130-printer-series/24494378/model/24494382/documen...
but the printer is never visible in the HP smart app; I did follow all the instruction in the application, but seems that the Wifi resetting is not switching the printer into "Wi-Fi setup mode for about two hours" after I select "restore network settings" on the printer.
How to solve this? Is there other way to reset to factory settings for this specific model?
Br,
Greg

@greg144, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are trying to connect the printer to the wireless network.
Use the WPS method. Refer to - Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
If this does not help, I have sent you a private message with a set of instructions to perform a reset. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
