Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I am having trouble connecting my printer to the wifi network. I recently moved and am using a new wifi network. I reset the printer but the app on my phone will still not recognize the printer to connect it to the new wifi network. I tried to use the online help, but the website will not recognize my CORRECT serial number and product number. I tried to find the driver to download it to my computer but there is only an update and not the original driver available online. There is no one available to help me by phone, and I cannot even call anyone because THE WEBSITE DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY CORRECT SERIAL NUMBER AND PRODUCT NUMBER.

THIS IS VERY VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!!

Hi @VVFRUSTRATED,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re having trouble connecting your HP LaserJet 110W printer to your new Wi-Fi network after moving, and the HP Smart app isn’t detecting it. Let’s go through a few steps to get your printer connected again.

a. Reset Network Settings on the Printer

Turn the printer ON.

Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking.

This resets the printer’s network settings and puts it back into Wi-Fi setup mode.

b. Connect Through HP Smart App

Make sure your phone or PC is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (not 5 GHz).

Open the HP Smart App → tap Set Up a New Printer.

Wait for your printer to appear in the list.

If it doesn’t show up, tap + Add Printer → Set Up a New Printer, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete setup.

c. Temporarily Disable VPN or Firewall

If you’re using a VPN, mobile hotspot, or firewall software, disable it during setup.

These can block the printer from being discovered by the HP Smart app.

d. Manually Add the Printer (if not found)

On your computer, open Wi-Fi settings and look for a network like DIRECT-xx-HP LaserJet 110W.

Connect to that network (no password may be required).

Go back to the HP Smart app, and it should automatically detect the printer and let you enter your Wi-Fi credentials.

e. Install Drivers (if needed)

Go to support.hp.com → Software and Drivers → Printer → HP LaserJet 110W.

Choose “Get the HP Smart App” — this app contains all necessary setup drivers.

If you’re on Windows, you don’t need a separate driver package; the app installs the correct driver automatically.

f. Website Not Recognizing Serial Number

Ensure there are no spaces before or after the serial number when typing it.

Serial numbers are case-sensitive, so enter them exactly as printed on the sticker (usually found inside the printer’s cartridge door or on the back).

You can still download software or perform setup without registering the printer.

I hope this helps.
