Hi @Kerber,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding connection issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

  1. Check Printer Compatibility:

    • Ensure that your printer model is compatible with macOS 15.0 Sequoia. Sometimes, newer operating systems may have compatibility issues with older printers.
  2. Reinstall Printer Software:

    • Delete the existing printer setup on your Mac.
    • Go to 'System Preferences' > 'Printers & Scanners,' select your printer, and click the minus button to remove it.
    • Visit the HP Support website to download the latest drivers and software for your printer model. Ensure you select macOS as your operating system.
  3. Use AirPrint:

    • If the HP printer supports AirPrint, try connecting using this feature, which doesn't require HP drivers.
  4. Update macOS:

    • Ensure your macOS is updated to the latest version. Sometimes an update can help resolve device compatibility issues.
    • Go to 'Apple Menu' > 'System Preferences' > 'Software Update' and install any available updates.
  5. Reset the Printing System:

    • In 'System Preferences' > 'Printers & Scanners', right-click (or Ctrl+Click) on the printer list and select 'Reset Printing System'.
    • Re-add your printer using the plus button and check connectivity.
  6. Wireless Connection Check:

    • Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
    • Use the printer control panel to navigate network settings, ensuring Wi-Fi is enabled and connected.
  7. Printer Firmware:

    • Even if the updater says no upgrades are available, check if there are optional updates or patches provided by HP for compatibility improvements.

I hope this helps.
