I need my printer to connect to the internet! Every time I try to do this on my phone it keeps saying the password is incorrect. However, it is the same password I've always used for regular internet.

Hi @csanders77,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP DeskJet 2855e connectivity issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Verify the Password:
- Ensure that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password. Double-check for any typographical errors, paying special attention to capital letters, numbers, and special characters. Sometimes, devices might have a character limit or specific encoding, so ensure that your password adheres to these criteria.
Printer's IP Address:
- If available, try accessing the printer's settings menu on the control panel and confirm that the printer is set to connect to the correct network name (SSID).
Restart Devices:
- Restart your printer, router, and smartphone or computer. Powering down the devices can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Use HP Smart App for Setup:
- Download and install the HP Smart App on your smartphone or Windows 11 PC. This app can guide you through the setup process and ensure your printer connects to the internet correctly.
Check Network Compatibility:
- Ensure that your network is operating on the 2.4GHz band, as some printers do not support 5GHz bands. This information can usually be found in your router's settings.
Re-enter Wi-Fi Credentials:
- Try disconnecting the printer from the network and reconnecting, manually entering the Wi-Fi credentials again through the setup wizard on the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart App.
Network Reset:
- As a last resort, you can restore the network defaults on your printer and set it up anew. Instructions for resetting network settings can be found in your printer's manual.
I hope this helps.
