Hi @de-be-ie,

If you're having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet 4155e printer to a new modem while using Windows 11, follow these steps to establish a successful connection:

  1. Prepare Your Network:

    • Ensure that your new modem is set up and that your wireless network is functional.
    • Confirm you have the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  2. Reset the Printer's Network Settings:

    • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the light begins to blink. This indicates that the printer is in wireless setup mode.
  3. Download the HP Smart App:

    • Install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store on your Windows 11 device if you haven't already.
  4. Connect the Printer Using HP Smart:

    • Open the HP Smart app and sign in or create an HP account.
    • Click on the plus sign (+) to add a new printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to detect your HP DeskJet 4155e printer.
    • Choose the network (SSID) and enter the password to connect the printer to your network.
  5. Check Wireless Connectivity:

    • Once connected, confirm that the wireless light on the printer is solid, indicating a successful connection to your Wi-Fi network.
  6. Print a Wireless Test Report:

    • You can print a wireless test report from the printer to verify the connection. Refer to your printer manual for instructions on printing a test report.

If you continue to experience issues, here are additional steps:

  • Reboot Devices: Restart your printer, modem, and Windows 11 device.
  • Manage Network Conflicts: Ensure no network restrictions on your modem prevent new devices from connecting.
  • Firewall and Security: Check that your modem settings or security software are not blocking your printer.
