I have the HP app, reset the router, wifi on, paper loaded. Paid for mobile hot spot, still unable to connect

Thanks for reaching out!

 

It sounds like your HP Smart Tank / DeskJet 5000 series printer is refusing to print even though you’ve tried the basics

These printers only support 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi. If your router or hotspot is running 5 GHz only, the printer will blink but never connect.

Enable or create a 2.4 GHz SSID and reconnect.
