From an internet page, and using CTRL P,  the printer sounds like it is going to print and then does nothing.  I have reinstalled the printer, made sure my system is updated.  I tried the same on ohter browsers with no problem.  Any thoughts??

Hi @REJIM

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are unable to print directly from an internet page using Ctrl + P in one specific browser. The printer appears to receive the job and sounds like it is preparing to print, but then nothing prints. Since you have already reinstalled the printer, ensured that your system is up to date, and confirmed that printing works correctly from other browsers, the issue is likely related to the affected browser rather than the printer itself.

Please follow these steps:

Test Printing from the Browser Menu

Instead of using Ctrl + P:

  • Open the webpage you want to print.
  • Click the three dots or menu icon in the browser.
  • Select Print.
  • Ensure your HP printer is selected.
  • Click Print.

If this works, the issue may be related to the keyboard shortcut or browser settings.

Clear the Browser Cache

  • Open the affected browser.
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  • Select Cached images and files.
  • Choose All time as the time range.
  • Click Clear data.
  • Restart the browser and try printing again.

Reset the Browser Settings

If the issue persists:

  • Open the browser settings.
  • Locate the Reset settings option.
  • Restore the browser to its default settings.
  • Restart the browser and try printing again.

Take care and have an amazing day!
