I have a new internet router and WiFi network. I need to be able to connect my Deskjet 2700 printer to the new WiFi network, but I can’t see how to do this.
I’d appreciate instructions for how to do this.

Hi @CherylEdwardes,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding changing the WiFi network on the HP Deskjet 2700 series!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Prepare Printer for Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is turned on and in a ready state.
  • Place the printer near your WiFi router to ensure a strong connection during setup.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Press and hold the WiFi button on the printer until the light starts blinking to reset any previous connections. This usually takes about 3 seconds. The power light should also start blinking. This puts the printer into WiFi setup mode.

Install HP Smart App:

  • Download and open the HP Smart app on your mobile device or computer. This app is available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Connect your mobile device or computer to the new WiFi network.

Add New Printer:

  • In the HP Smart app, click on the plus sign (+) to add a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and connect the printer to your new WiFi network.

Connect Printer:

  • The app will prompt you to select your new WiFi network and enter the password.
  • Complete the setup, and your printer should connect to the new WiFi network.

Print a Test Page:

  • Once connected, try printing a test page or document to ensure the printer is working correctly on the new network.

I hope this helps.
