Hello @Mary41949 and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
If you've changed your internet provider and need to update the Wi-Fi password on your HP Envy 6000 series printer, you'll need to reconnect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network. Here's how to do it:
Option 1: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)
- Download or open the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
- Reset the printer’s network settings:
- Press and hold Wireless button on the back of the printer for at least three seconds.
- In the HP Smart app:
- Tap “+” to add a new printer.
- Select your HP Envy 6000 from the list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network using the updated password.
Option 2: Manual Wireless Setup (Without App)
If you prefer not to use the app:
- Reset the printer’s network settings as described above.
- On your computer or phone, connect to the printer’s temporary Wi-Fi network (named something like HP-Setup-ENVY-6000).
- Open a browser and go to http://192.168.223.1.
- Use the embedded web server (EWS) to enter your new Wi-Fi credentials and connect the printer to your home network.
