Hi @Melissa622,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet 9025 isn’t accepting your new modem’s Wi-Fi network during setup. Let’s go through a few steps to connect it successfully.

Check Wi-Fi Network Name & Password

Make sure your SSID (network name) has no special characters that the printer might not accept.

Confirm the Wi-Fi password is correct.

If your network name is very long, try temporarily shortening it.

Restart Devices

Power off the printer, modem, and router for 30 seconds.

Turn the modem/router back on first, wait until Wi-Fi is fully active, then power on the printer.

Use the Printer Control Panel to Reconnect

On the printer, go to Settings → Network Setup → Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select your new network from the list and enter the password carefully.

Ensure you select the correct 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band supported by the printer.

Check Wi-Fi Band Compatibility

HP OfficeJet 9025 supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, but some printers have trouble with certain 5 GHz channels.

Try connecting to the 2.4 GHz network if 5 GHz fails.

Temporarily Disable Wi-Fi Isolation / Guest Networks

Some modems have a Guest Network or AP Isolation feature that prevents devices from connecting.

Disable it temporarily and try connecting again.

Manual IP Configuration (If Needed)

If the printer can’t automatically obtain an IP from the modem, assign a manual IP:

Go to Settings → Network → Advanced → IP Settings.

Enter an IP within your network’s range (e.g., 192.168.1.x), Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0), and Gateway (your router’s IP).

I hope this helps.
