HP DESKJET 3632
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a DeskJet 3632 Printer.  I have it connected to my roommates router which works fine. My roommate changed his router SSID to "BuffaloBulls".  (Don't ask me why),  but my  printers' SSID "DIRECT-D7-HP DeskJet 3630 Series".   I don't know how to change the SSID to something more user friendly.

@No1Trucker, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The printer's SSID is the wifi-direct option on the printer where the printer itself acts as a router. If you want to change this SSID, you will have to access the EWS page of the printer.

For more info on wifi-direct, refer to - Printing with Wi-Fi Direct. In this document under the FAQ section, you can find the steps to rename/change the settings.

Note: Not all printers will have an option to change the SSID of wifi-direct. You may change the SSID of a router but not on all printers.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
