Have a Color Laserjet Pro MFP M277dw that has worked perfectly forever and out of nowhere, it stopped recognising our WIFI network.  It recognises EVERY OTHER WIFI network in our house and all neighbours but just not ours.  I have tried factory resets via menu, factory reset, and followed the instructions (link below) as close as possible from a previous inquiry however while it was referring to the use of windows user I'm assuming its no different for a .. my Mac details also below..

Thanks & Kind Regards

Hi @-KNIGHT- ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating when a device suddenly stops recognizing your Wi-Fi network. Here are a few troubleshooting steps specific to your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw and your Mac setup:

Check Network Settings:

  • Router Settings: Ensure that your router’s settings haven’t changed. Verify the SSID (network name) and make sure it is broadcasting on a compatible frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). Some printers may have issues connecting to 5 GHz networks.
  • Wi-Fi Security: Ensure that the Wi-Fi security settings (like WPA2) are compatible with your printer.

Reconfigure Printer Network Settings:

  • Reconnect via Control Panel: Go to the printer's control panel, navigate to Network settings, and select Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the prompts to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Manual Setup: If automatic setup fails, use the Wireless Direct option temporarily to connect to the printer and then manually enter your Wi-Fi details through the printer's menu.

Update Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Printer Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on HP’s website. Updating the firmware can resolve network connectivity issues.

Network Troubleshooting:

  • Check Router Logs: Look at your router’s logs to see if there are any errors or blocked attempts related to the printer.
  • IP Address Conflicts: Make sure there are no IP address conflicts in your network. You can try assigning a static IP address to your printer through the router’s DHCP settings.

Mac-Specific Steps:

  • Network Preferences: On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Network. Ensure that your Mac is properly connected to the network and there are no issues with your Wi-Fi settings.
  • Forget and Reconnect: On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Network, select Wi-Fi, and click Advanced. Find your network in the list and remove it. Then reconnect to the network.

Factory Reset Printer:

  • Reset Again: If the above steps don’t work, perform a full factory reset on the printer and then reconfigure it from scratch.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
