Hi @SHARPLESS40,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you want to know if your HP OfficeJet Pro 8134e All-in-One Printer can connect to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. Let’s clarify this for you.

Supported Wi-Fi Bands
○ The HP OfficeJet Pro 8134e supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only.
○ It does not support the 5 GHz band.

What This Means
○ If your router is dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), make sure the 2.4 GHz band is enabled.
○ When connecting the printer, select the 2.4 GHz SSID (network name).

Tips for Better Connectivity
○ Place the printer within 6–8 feet of the router for stable connection.
○ Avoid interference from microwaves, cordless phones, or thick walls.

If You Only See 5 GHz
○ Log into your router settings and enable/rename the 2.4 GHz network separately.
○ Connect the printer to that network, while your other devices can still use 5 GHz.

I hope this helps.
