Hi @BeachLover2015

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. If your HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One Printer continues to show Offline even after restarting both the printer and router, it usually indicates that the printer and computer are no longer communicating consistently over the network.

To help restore the connection, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Verify that the printer display shows it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.

  • On the printer control panel, confirm the wireless indicator is solid and not blinking.
  • Ensure the printer and computer are connected to the same wireless network.

Restart the printing connection.

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Wait for the router to fully reconnect to the internet.
  • Turn the printer back on and allow it to reconnect to Wi-Fi.

Set the printer as the default printer.

  • Open Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select the HP Smart Tank 7602.
  • Choose Set as default printer if available.

Remove any paused or stuck print jobs.

  • Open the printer queue.
  • Cancel all pending jobs.
  • Send a small test print.

Run diagnostics using the HP App.

  • Open the HP App on your computer.
  • Select your HP Smart Tank 7602.
  • Use the diagnostic or troubleshooting option to detect and repair connection issues automatically.

Remove and re-add the printer.

  • In Printers & scanners, remove the HP Smart Tank 7602.
  • Open the HP App and add the printer again using the wireless setup process.

Check the printer's IP address.

  • Print a Network Configuration or Network Information page from the printer.
  • Verify the printer has a valid IP address assigned by the router.
  • If the IP address is missing or starts with an unexpected value, reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.

If available on your network, temporarily disable VPN software and then test printing again, as VPN connections can occasionally prevent printer discovery.

After completing the above steps, try printing a test page. If the printer still appears offline, please let us know:

  • Whether the printer shows as connected to Wi-Fi on its display.
  • Whether you can print from another device such as a phone.
  • If any error message appears in the HP App or Windows printer queue.

That information will help us guide the next troubleshooting steps more precisely.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
