I'm looking for a program that will allow me to set printer configuration via an upload, either through the square USB or RJ45 network connection.
Currently I have over 50 to set up and with no option (at least from the built in configuration program) to upload a config file.
I have several options that need to be updated. Currently I am forced to do this manually and it takes about 15 minutes / printer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi @JamesAColeman,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To set up printer configurations in bulk and upload them via USB or network connection, you can use Printer Configuration Management Software. These programs are designed to streamline the process of configuring multiple printers simultaneously. One such example of such software is "PrinterLogic".
PrinterLogic is a print management solution that allows you to centrally manage printer configurations, deploy them to multiple printers, and simplify the setup process. It supports various methods of printer deployment, including USB and network connections.
With PrinterLogic, you can create configuration profiles for different printer models or groups and then upload these profiles to the printers you need to set up. The software offers a user-friendly interface that allows you to customize various settings like paper sizes, trays, print quality, and other printer-specific options.
Here's how the process typically works.
- Install PrinterLogic on a central server or a dedicated workstation.
- Create configuration profiles for different printer models or groups according to your requirements.
- Connect the printers to the network or use a USB connection (if supported).
- Access the printers through PrinterLogic's interface and apply the desired configuration profile to each printer.
Keep in mind that software options and features may change over time, so it's recommended to check the latest versions of Printer Configuration Management Software or other alternatives available as of the current date.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
