Connect Desktet 2622 to WiFi without Router

Hello.  Had no issues setting up my printer to wifi initially, but I take it with me to work events and cannot connect to new Wifi.  All instructions I've found require pressing the WPS on a router---but I'm trying to connect to wifi at a hotel so I have no access to router.  Please help!.

Hi,

A public wireless network such as an hotel will unlikely allow local connectivity due to security measures, any such is more intended to allow internet access only, also such public networks usually require a web based login which is not supported by a printer.

I suggest using Wifi Direct to connect your computer wirelessly without a router to print, then install the HP Software to print through the wifi direct connection.

First, follow below guidelines to enable Wi-Fi Direct for your printer and print an information sheet to locate its network name and password:

Now connect to the Wi-Fi Direct network and install the printer software, then connect to the Wi-Fi Direct network whenever you need to print away from your local network.
