Hi,
I am a school teacher. I love HP products. In my classroom I have a color printer and a black only printer. I recently purchased the M110we LaserJet printer to use in my classroom. It is amazing. The printer was affordable and the ink is affordable with great quality. I can print a ton of sheets on one black ink cartridge. It is convenient that if I need some additional copies of something, I can just print it in my classroom. The major issue that I have is that HP has a setting on the printers that will not allow me to connect for printing without connecting it to Wi-Fi through the HP app. Most school districts, including my school district, will not allow teachers to connect printers to the Wi-Fi because it takes up too much bandwidth. So about once a month I have to take my printer home, connect it to my home Wi-Fi then bring it back. It will not print using the USB cord until this step is completed. It is very frustrating and an inconvenience. I do not want to purchase another brand of printer, but it is looking like I will have to if I keep having to do this every time.
HP Staff if you are reading this: HP will you please allow for this option to be removed or a workaround for teachers.
Does anyone know a workaround or a way to make it print without connecting it to the Wi-Fi?
