I have a new WiFi network and am trying to connect my printer. Following instructions, press the i key on printer screen, all the keys light up. Then press X and WiFi symbol. It says it should enter setup but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Hi @Babs2805,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that  you would like to connect your HP printer to a new WiFi network. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Reset Network Settings:

  • Locate the Wireless or WiFi button on your printer.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together until all the lights flash. This will restore the network settings to default.

Access the Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • On your printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • This can typically be found by pressing the Setup button, then navigating to Network and choosing Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select Your New WiFi Network:

  • The printer will search for available wireless networks.
  • From the list, select your new WiFi network.

Enter Network Password:

  • If prompted, enter the WiFi password using the printer's control panel.
  • Confirm and press OK.

Confirm Connection:

  • Once connected, the wireless light should turn solid blue, indicating a successful connection to the WiFi network.
  • If there is an error message, such as "Network not found" or "Connection failed,"
  • Make sure the network name and password are correct and that the printer is within range of the router.

Print a Network Configuration Page

  • You may want to print a network configuration page to confirm the printer's IP address and connection details.

Take care and have an amazing day!
