Connecting your HP printer to the internet typically involves connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

1. Prepare Your Printer

  • Turn on Your Printer: Ensure your HP printer is powered on and ready.

2. Connect Using the Printer’s Control Panel

Navigate to Wireless Setup:

  • On the printer’s control panel, find and select the Wireless or Network menu.
  • Look for options like Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Setup.

Select Your Network:

  • The printer will search for available wireless networks. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard, then confirm.

Connect:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection. The printer will attempt to connect to the network. Once connected, the printer should display a confirmation message or show a Wi-Fi symbol on the screen.

3. Use HP  App (Recommended Method)

Download the HP  App:

  • Download and install the HP app from the Microsoft Store (for Windows), the Mac App Store (for macOS), or your device’s app store (for iOS and Android).

Open the HP App:

  • Open the HP  app and follow the prompts to set up a new printer.

Connect Your Printer:

  • The app will guide you through the steps to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network. It often includes automatic detection and setup features.

4. Manual Setup via Web Interface (For Advanced Users)

Find Printer’s IP Address:

  • On the printer’s control panel, find the Network or Wireless settings and locate the IP address.

Access Printer’s Web Interface:

  • Enter the IP address into a web browser on a computer connected to the same network. This will open the printer’s embedded web server (EWS).

Configure Wireless Settings:

  • Navigate to the wireless settings section and follow the instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

5. Confirm Connection

Print a Network Configuration Page:

  • Print a network configuration or status page from your printer’s control panel to confirm it’s connected to your network.

Check Connectivity:

  • Try printing a test page from your computer or mobile device to ensure that the printer is correctly connected to the network

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
