Any suggestions on hooking HP8610 to the new Xfinity internet account?

I understand you are trying to connect your HP Officejet Pro 8610 to a new Xfinity internet account, follow these steps:

 

1. Connect Printer to New Wi-Fi Network

Turn on the Printer: Ensure your HP Officejet Pro 8610 is powered on.

Access Wireless Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to the Wireless or Network menu.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard. The printer will search for available networks.

Select Your Network:

  • From the list of available networks, select your new Xfinity Wi-Fi network.

Enter Wi-Fi Password:

  • Enter the Wi-Fi password for your Xfinity network. Ensure that the password is entered correctly, paying attention to capitalization and special characters.

Confirm Connection:

  • Follow the prompts to complete the connection. Once connected, the printer will display a confirmation message.

2. Update Printer Software on Your Computer

Download Latest Software:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest driver and software for the HP Officejet Pro 8610 that is compatible with your operating system (Windows 10, 32-bit).

Install Printer Software:

  • Run the downloaded software and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • When prompted, choose the option to connect via Wi-Fi and select your newly connected Wi-Fi network.

Complete Installation:

  • The software should detect the printer on your network and complete the installation. If it doesn’t automatically find the printer, you may need to manually enter the printer's IP address, which can be found on the printer’s network settings page.

3. Test the Printer

Print a Test Page:

  • Once the installation is complete, print a test page from your computer to ensure the printer is working correctly with the new Wi-Fi network.

Check Connectivity:

  • Verify that the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network and can be accessed from your computer.

If you encounter any issues during the setup, try restarting your printer, computer, and router, and then attempt the connection process again. If problems persist, consider checking the Xfinity router setting
