Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only. 

To connect your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer to Wi-Fi using your iPhone 13, follow these steps:

Step 1: Prepare the Printer

1. Power On the Printer: Make sure your printer is turned on and in a ready state.
2. Access the Control Panel: On the printer's touchscreen, tap on the Wireless icon (it looks like a signal wave).

Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi

1. Open Wireless Settings:
   • Tap on Settings (gear icon) on the printer's touchscreen.
   • Select Network or Wireless Setup Wizard.
2. Choose Your Network:
   • The printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi Password:
   • Use the touchscreen keypad to enter your Wi-Fi password. Make sure to input it accurately, as it is case-sensitive.
4. Confirm Connection:
   • After entering the password, select OK or Connect. Wait for the printer to connect to the network. You should see a confirmation message once it’s connected.

Step 3: Install the HP Smart App on Your iPhone

1. Download HP Smart:
   • Go to the App Store on your iPhone.
   • Search for HP Smart and download the app.
2. Open HP Smart:
   • Launch the HP Smart app on your iPhone.
3. Add Printer:
   • Tap on the + icon or Add Printer.
   • The app should automatically detect your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 if it’s on the same Wi-Fi network.
   • Select your printer from the list to add it.

Step 4: Print from Your iPhone

1. Select a Document or Photo:
   • Open a document or photo that you want to print.
2. Print Option:
   • Tap the Share icon or the Print option, depending on the app you are using.
3. Choose Your Printer:
   • Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 from the list of available printers.
4. Adjust Print Settings:
   • Set your desired print options (number of copies, color, etc.).
5. Print:
   • Tap Print to send your document to the printer.

• If you have trouble connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network, you can also use Wi-Fi Direct to print directly from your iPhone without connecting to a local network. You can enable Wi-Fi Direct from the printer's settings, then connect your iPhone to the printer's temporary network (usually starts with "HP-").
• Restart Devices: If the printer doesn’t show up in the HP Smart app, try restarting your printer and iPhone.
