@Klat4345, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP ENVY Pro 6400 series printer is having trouble connecting to the internet, here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

Check the Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same wireless network as your computer or mobile device.
  • Restart your printer, router, and any devices you are trying to print from.

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Find your printer's IP address using the printer control panel, HP Smart app, or by printing an Information page.
  • Enter the IP address in a web browser to open the Embedded Web Server.
  • Navigate to the Web Services tab and make sure Web Services is enabled. If not, click "Continue" or "Enable" to activate it.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • It might be necessary to update your printer's firmware to ensure compatibility with web services. Visit HP's website to download the latest firmware for your printer model.

Resolve Server Connection Errors:

  • If you encounter a server error message, it could be due to temporary issues with HP's servers.
  • Wait and try connecting again after some time. You might also want to check HP's support page for any alerts regarding server issues.

Other Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Verify that your router settings allow the printer to connect to the internet.
  • Disable any firewall or network security settings that might be blocking the printer's connection.
  • If your printer was released in 2020 or later, ensure you are using features like "Print Anywhere" that need an internet connection to function.

I hope this helps.
