Hi @LuluMcB,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP printer to a new internet hub, follow these steps.
Ensure Printer and Hub are On: Make sure both your printer and new internet hub are powered on.
Check Network Settings:
- On the Printer: Navigate to the printer’s control panel. Look for the network or wireless settings menu.
- Find Wi-Fi Settings: Select the option to connect to a wireless network or Wi-Fi settings.
Select Your Network:
- Locate Your Network: Your printer should search for available networks. Select your new internet hub’s network name (SSID) from the list.
- Enter Password: Enter the Wi-Fi password for your new network when prompted. Make sure you enter it correctly.
Confirm Connection:
- Check Printer Status: Once connected, your printer’s control panel should show that it’s connected to the network.
- Print Network Configuration: If available, print a network configuration page to verify the connection.
Update Printer Software:
- On Your Computer: Open the HP Smart app or printer software on your computer.
- Add Printer: Follow the prompts to add your printer. It should detect the printer on the new network.
- Install Drivers: If necessary, download and install the latest drivers for your printer from HP’s website.
Restart Devices:
- Restart Printer and Hub: If you still encounter issues, try restarting both the printer and the new internet hub.
Troubleshoot Connection:
- Check for Interference: Ensure there are no obstructions or interference between your printer and the new hub.
- Verify Network Settings: Ensure the new internet hub is properly configured and broadcasting.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
