Hi @FGDCCA,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Connecting your HP printer to Wi-Fi can feel a bit tricky at first, but once it's set up, it’s smooth sailing. Let’s walk through the steps together, whether your printer has a touchscreen or not.

How to Connect Your HP Printer to Wi-Fi

Option 1: Using the HP App (Recommended)

  1. Download the HP App
  2. Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer
    • For most HP printers:
Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (or Wireless + Cancel buttons) until the Power light blinks and the Wireless light starts blinking.
    • This enables Wi-Fi setup mode for 2 hours.
  3. Connect via HP App
    • Open the app and tap “Add Printer”.
    • Select your printer from the list (e.g., HP-Setup<model>).
    • Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
  4. Confirm Connection
    • Once connected, print a test page to verify.

Option 2: Using Wireless Setup Wizard (Touchscreen Printers)

  1. On the printer’s touchscreen, go to:
    • Setup > Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard
  2. Select your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Enter the password using the on-screen keyboard.
  4. Confirm and wait for the connection.

Option 3: WPS Button Method (If Supported)

  1. Press the WPS button on your router.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press the Wireless button on your printer.
  3. The printer will connect automatically.
