Yes, you can typically use your HP ENVY 6458e All-In-One Printer with your mobile data by creating a hotspot with your mobile device. Most modern printers, including the HP ENVY series, support wireless connectivity options such as Wi-Fi Direct, which allows you to connect your printer directly to your mobile device without needing a traditional Wi-Fi network.

 

Here's how you can set it up.

 

  • Turn on the hotspot feature on your mobile device. This feature is usually found in the settings menu of your device.
  • On your HP ENVY 6458e All-In-One Printer, navigate to the wireless settings menu. This might be accessed through the printer's control panel or via the printer's touchscreen interface.
  • Look for the Wi-Fi Direct or Mobile Printing option and select it.
  • Your printer should detect the mobile hotspot created by your device. Select it from the list of available networks.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process. You may need to enter the password for your mobile hotspot if you've set one up.
