My printer cannot functionally connect to my apartment building's secure wifi. I cannot access the router settings, which leaves me at a dead end, and it doesn't like that I'm not connected to the Instant Ink program even though we never signed up for it. When I connect it to the building's wifi, it becomes inaccessible for Direct printing. It is one of those models that doesn't allow you to use ethernet / otherwise, so I cannot connect manually and just bypass the WiFi issue. I've done a lot of trial and error with the configuration and gone through hours with the virtual assistant and wasted so much paper on the troubleshooting printouts and found that the best thing for me is to prevent the printer from connecting to the WiFi. It still allows me to connect to the printer WiFi to do direct printing, but recently it has started wasting paper in another way by insisting on printing a network error paper after every print I make. I have no idea how anyone else deals with connecting to WiFi you don't own and being able to readily print without having to go through multiple steps to make it happen. Thank you for your input.
