Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Hello!
I am having issues with my Printer. I had briefly connected it WiFI when I first got it, and at some point it stopped working over wifi, and i just used the usb connection. I know need to use the wireless function, and cannot set it up. ALso, the USB connection doesn't work anymore since I have tried to setup wireless. I have deleted and reinstalled HP Smart and gone through the startup process with no results. It senses the printer, but says that it is "offline." I have followed all the steps of setup as outlined on the HP page.
WPS is not an option for me, as I am using a Spectrum router. Spectrum has been removing WPS buttons for a while now. Hard-wiring Internet is not an option, so i am stuck to this. WiFi Direct, even though the less desirable option, does not work either.
Can someone help? I have spent hours on this and cannot resolve this. The HP Diagnostics do not work for me, and I am at my wits end. I need my printer to work how it is intended.

EDIT: I have downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor, and It is useless. It won't help with a current printer unless its online, and it wont help with a printer issue unless it is

connected to WiFi. So it is utterly pointless for my situation, as I am having issues connecting to the Wi-Fi, and even when HP Dumb does sense the printer it says that it is "offline".

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!
