Hi @DC12343,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The message on your HP Envy 5055 printer screen says: "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink." This typically means the printer is trying to use Instant Ink cartridges, but it’s not currently enrolled or recognized as enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program.

1. Check Instant Ink Enrollment Status

2. Reconnect the Printer to HP Smart

  • Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
  • Make sure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi and added to your HP account.
  • Go to Settings > HP Instant Ink and check the Enrollment status.

3. Perform a Printer Reset

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the message clears.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
