I’m having trouble connecting my HP LaserJet M148dw to My Spectrum Internet. The printout from the printer shows an incorrect spectrum network name and I need to correct it, but don’t know how to do that.

Hi @Mert363

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining the situation clearly. I understand how inconvenient it is when the printer connects to the wrong network name. You’ve already done a great job by checking the printout and identifying the incorrect SSID—that’s an important step.

Here’s how we can correct the Wi-Fi connection:

1. Restore Network Settings

  • On the printer control panel, press Setup (or the gear icon).
  • Navigate to Network SetupRestore Network Settings.
  • Confirm the reset. This clears the old network information.

2. Reconnect to Correct Wi-Fi

  • After the reset, go to Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer.
  • Select your correct Spectrum network name from the list.
  • Enter the Wi-Fi password carefully and confirm.

3. Use HP App for Easy Setup

  • Open the HP App on your PC or mobile device.
  • Add the printer again and follow the on-screen steps to connect it to the correct network.

4. Print a Network Configuration Page

  • From the printer’s control panel, print a network configuration page to confirm the correct SSID is now displayed.
