Hi  @Lynny55,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how it can be when your printer won’t reconnect after a WiFi password change and you’ve already tried the HP app suggestions.

Could you please share your printer’s model number

In the meantime, here are few  steps you can try:

1.Forget Old WiFi Settings

Printers often store outdated credentials, preventing reconnection.

On printer control panel → Wireless Settings → Manage Networks

Select your old WiFi network

Choose Forget/Delete to clear saved password

2.Reconnect with New Password

Entering the updated password ensures proper authentication.

On printer control panel → Wireless Setup Wizard

Select your current WiFi network

Enter the new password carefully

Confirm connection status on display

3.Restart Router and Printer

Refreshing both devices clears temporary glitches.

Power off your router for 30 seconds, then restart

Turn printer off and back on

Retry connection after both devices are online

4.Check Router Settings

Some routers block devices if security settings changed.

Ensure 2.4 GHz band is enabled (many printers don’t support 5 GHz)

Disable MAC address filtering temporarily

Verify DHCP is on so printer gets an IP

5.Use HP Smart App Reset

Resetting network settings via the app can force a clean setup.

Open HP Smart app

Go to Printer Settings → Advanced → Restore Network Defaults

Re-run Wireless Setup Wizard

I hope this helps.
