Hi @Mani105

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 2700 series printer is not connecting to a new Wi-Fi network and you're encountering an error in the HP Smart app, here are some steps to guide you through troubleshooting and resolving the issue:

Prepare for Wi-Fi Setup:

  • Ensure your computer or mobile device's operating system is up-to-date.
  • Place your printer and the computer or mobile device close to your Wi-Fi router.
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your computer or mobile device and they are connected to the same network you want your printer to connect to.

Check HP App and Setup:

  • Ensure Bluetooth is turned on to help the HP app detect your printer.
  • For mobile devices, enable location services and allow the app to use your location to detect the printer.
  • Open the HP app and try to set up the printer again. If prompted, click "Set Up a New Printer" or "Add Printer."

Restore Printer to Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • Restore the printer to Wi-Fi setup mode, which can usually be done by pressing the Wi-Fi button on the printer until it starts blinking.
  • Within two hours of setting the printer to Wi-Fi setup mode, use the HP app to connect your printer.

Reset Printer Network Settings:

  • You might need to reset the printer's network settings. Follow your printer's manual for specific steps to reset network settings, which may involve pressing and holding specific buttons on the printer.

Check for Wi-Fi Network Issues:

  • Verify that the Wi-Fi network is operational and other devices can connect to it.
  • Ensure that your network is secure and avoid using a public Wi-Fi network.
  • Consider repositioning the router to avoid any interference from thick walls or metal objects.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
