Hi @Wellies,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Sure! Here's a general guide on how to connect your HP DeskJet 2710e All-In-One Printer to a new Wi-Fi network.

Steps:

Prepare for Installation:

  • Make sure your printer, router, and computer are all turned on.
  • Ensure your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want to connect your printer to.

Printer Setup:

  • Press the Wireless button on your printer's control panel. The wireless light should start blinking.
  • Press the 'Color' button (for color printers) or the 'Black' button (for monochrome printers) to print the Wireless Network Test Report. This report will have information you need for the setup.

Connect via Wi-Fi Direct (Temporary Method):

  • You can use Wi-Fi Direct if you don't have a Wi-Fi network. You'll need to connect your computer or mobile device directly to your printer's Wi-Fi Direct connection.
  • On your computer or mobile device, open the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
  • Look for your printer's Wi-Fi Direct name (should be something like "DIRECT-Printer Model") and connect to it.
  • Once connected, open a web browser and enter "http://192.168.223.1" in the address bar to open the EWS (Embedded Web Server) for your printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the wireless settings. You can set up a Wi-Fi network from here.

Connect via Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • On your computer, open a web browser and type in the IP address found on the Wireless Network Test Report you printed earlier. It should be something like "192.168.xxx.xxx".
  • This will open the printer's EWS.
  • Go to the Wireless or Network tab.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard or similar option.
  • Follow the prompts to select your Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
  • Once the printer is connected to the network, the wireless light on the printer should stop blinking and become solid.

Test the Connection:

  • Print another Wireless Network Test Report to ensure the connection is successful.

Additional Tips:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers and software for your printer installed on your computer. You can usually find these on the HP support website.
  • If you're having trouble with the setup, you can also use the HP Smart app (available for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS). The app can help guide you through the setup process.

Following these steps should get your HP DeskJet 2710e connected to your new Wi-Fi network!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
