HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw

I am on a Wi-Fi network, no router availability. How can I connect my used 1001nw that I was just given to our Wi-Fi network so that I can print wirelessly from my iPad or phone? I don’t have a laptop or desktop computer.

Hi @Phillfam10,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Is it a private (Home network) or a public Wi-Fi connection? Wi-Fi direct? Or Hotspot?
Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.

How is the printer connected USB or Wireless?
What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
Have you done any changes to your router network or software?

Meanwhile, try the steps mentioned below.

Connect the printer using Wi-Fi Protected Setup

Use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on your router to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Place the printer near the Wi-Fi router.

Put the printer in WPS connection mode.

Most printers without a touchscreen control panel: Press and hold the Wireless button for five seconds or until the wireless light starts to flash.

HP Deskjet 6000 and 6400, ENVY 6000 and 6400, and Tango printers: Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Power button on the back of the printer for five seconds until the blue bar flashes.

Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the router until the connection process begins.

Wait for the Wireless light or bar on the printer to stop flashing. The printer is now connected to the network.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
