HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer - D110a
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to set up my older HP photosmart e-all-in one printer - D110a wirelessly to my Hitron router and laptop using Windows 11 printer drivers and following instructions from https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/ish_2224996-1993298-16  , but it is not working.  I press and hold the wireless button on the printer until i see a message to press the WPS button (about 5 seconds) and then i press the WPS button and the light on the router starts flashing... after about 90 seconds the screen on the printer shows a WPS error press ok to retry or X to cancel.

Please help

Hi @wynford,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

Follow the instructions to connect the printer to a network

1. Write down your network name (SSID) and WEP key or WPA passphrase.

2. Turn on the wireless radio. a. Unplug the network cable. b. Touch Setup. c. Touch Network. d. Touch Wireless Radio, and then touch On.

3. Start Wireless Setup Wizard. ▲ Touch Network Setup Wizard.

4. Connect to the wireless network. ▲ Select your network from the list of detected networks.

You may refer to the user guide on page 29 -http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02106007.pdf

Hope this helps!

I finally figured it out and got it working and printing wirelessly...

1. Login in to your router by typing 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your web browser and then using the name and password that came with your router (or whatever you have changed it to if you have changed it).

2. Choose the option of "Manage WiFi".

3. Work from the 2.4G tab (if you are having problems connecting an old printer you definitely won't be using 5G).

4. Under "Basic Settings", "WPS Enabled" must be set to "Off" - it might already be so by default.

5. Under "Multiple SSID Settings" choose the following from the pull-down menus:

Sec Mode - "WPA-Personal" (will probably be this by default)

Auth Mode - "Auto (WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK)" (this is the one you need to change from "WPA2-PSK")

Encrypt Mode - "TKIP/AES" (this will probably change to this automatically when you change the Auth Mode above)

Now save these changes and try connecting your printer to WiFi.

6. configure the wireless settings on the printer.

7. then go to control panel... devices and printers... click add a printer and click your wireless printer (usually a different name than your wired printer.

or

go to settings... bluetooth and settings... printers and scanners... add device.

or

if you use hp smart app... click the + sign to add a printer and click the wireless.
