HP Envy 4527
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hopefully someone will know the answer to this.

I have a HP Envy 4527, and there are 3 laptops connected for wireless printing. Up until about a year ago, there were no issues for any of these devices.

Now, the other 2 still work just fine but my laptop refuses to connect wirelessly. And for about a month now it won't connect via a cable either.

My laptop is an Asus from 2017 and came with Windows 10 already installed. The other 2 devices were originally Windows 8 and have been upgraded to Windows 10.

I've tried online support via the virtual agent but I can't get it to understand that the printer works just fine from all but 1 device. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software from my laptop. I've done the 'network dump' stuff by powering off the modem/router and disconnecting devices. The Web Report test page shows that everything is absolutely fine.

Please please please can somebody familiar with the problem let me know of the solution. It's frustrating because I'm the HP account holder.

@TrupeshM, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print from your laptop. Let us try these steps:

  • How far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
  • Restart the router, the printer, and the laptop
  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

To check the connectivity,

  • Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
  • Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
  • If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
  • Try printing a test page.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
