Connection issues OJ 8017

HP Recommended
OfficeJet 8017
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer keeps losing its WiFi connection and when I re set it up using the wizard I am getting random network addresses even though it is connected to the correct router.  My network begins 192.168... but it's connecting to 165.255.... and refuses to change no matter how many times I try setting it up. It's worked for over a year without this hassle.  Any suggestions on what I can do? If there was a RJ45 connection I'd just use that but there isn't one (major design flaw).

As a student I really need this sorted asap so any help would be great.

Thanks in advance

J

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's reset the network settings on the printer: 1. From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch ( Settings ). 2. Touch Restore Network Settings, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Once done, connect the Printer to the Wi-Fi.

Let me know if this helps.
