Hi @Aubrie43,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing printer connectivity issues.

To assist better -

  1. What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or an iPhone?
  2. I would like to know, is your router set to work on a 2.4 GHz network or a 5 GHz network band?
  3. Are you trying to connect your printer to your home network or without a router?
  4. What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am using Apple products iPhone Mac and iPad.

I think 2.4

home Wi-Fi network router

the blue light is a constant connection. Not blinking

I spoke with a rep on the phone yesterday and she said that because my printer is out of warranty and that it has expired I need to put it in printer heaven and buy a newer printer. I just about flipped my lid on her. There is nothing wrong with my printer. It is not that old. Plus I use the same one same model as mine at my friends house for her daycare and I have no issues printing form hers. It is the exact same printer and year as mine. So I don’t believe that it is because my warranty has expired that it would make the connectivity issues that I am having.

thank you for your help

Please help me with the below details-

  1. Is there antivirus software installed on your Mac?
  2. What is mac OS on your computer?
  3. What is the distance between the router and the printer?

Meanwhile, try the below suggestions -

Connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network (printers with a touchscreen)

Use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

  1. Place the printer near the network router.

  2. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer.

  3. From the Wireless  or Setup  menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.

  4. Get the network name and password. Go to Find the wireless network password or PIN to connect an HP printer for more information.

  5. From the Setup, Network, or Wireless settings menu, select Wireless Setup Wizard.

  6. Select your network, and then enter the password.

    NOTE:

If the Wireless Setup Wizard is not listed, select Wi-Fi Protected Setup or WPS, select Push Button, and then follow the steps to connect to the network.

Let me know how this goes!

It did not work. I am not sure what to do at this point I now can’t even get it to connect to my iPad for printing

Were you able to reconnect the printer to the network?

If yes, try and print using airprint -

Print from your Apple device

Print documents, photos, and web pages from iPhone and iPad apps with a print feature.

  1. Make sure the printer is turned on, cartridges are installed, and the paper you want to print on is loaded in the correct paper tray.

  2. Open the item you want to print, and then tap the Share icon ( or ).

  3. Tap Print or the Print icon.

  4. Select your printer, and then change print settings such as paper size, number of copies, or page range. Available settings depend on the app you are printing from, the print job type, and your printer.

  5. Tap Print.

Let me know how this goes!
