Hi @Unluky,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering a "no filtering" error while trying to connect your printer to a wireless network, it usually indicates that the printer is having trouble establishing or maintaining a wireless connection. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Check Wireless Network

  • Network Signal: Ensure that your wireless network is functioning correctly and has a strong signal in the area where the printer is located.
  • SSID and Password: Verify that you are using the correct network name (SSID) and password.

2. Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Router/Access Point: Restart your wireless router or access point to refresh the network connection.

3. Reconfigure Wireless Setup

  • Wireless Setup Wizard: Access the printer’s control panel or settings menu and navigate to the wireless setup wizard. This is typically found under “Network” or “Wireless” settings. Follow the prompts to reconnect to your network.
  • WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup): If your router supports WPS, you can use this feature for a simpler connection. Press the WPS button on your router and then on your printer to establish a connection.

4. Check Printer Firmware

  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Visit the manufacturer’s website to check for any available updates and follow their instructions to update the printer’s firmware.

5. Network Configuration

  • IP Address: Check if the printer is obtaining an IP address correctly from your router. Print a network configuration page from the printer’s settings to verify the IP address and network status.
  • Network Filtering: Ensure that your router’s network settings are not blocking the printer. Some routers have security settings or filtering options that might prevent new devices from connecting.

6. Reset Network Settings

  • Factory Reset: If other methods fail, you may need to reset the printer’s network settings to their default state and try setting up the wireless connection again. This option is usually available in the printer’s settings menu.

7. Check for Interference

  • Interference: Ensure that there are no physical obstructions or electronic devices that might be interfering with the wireless signal between your router and the printer.

8. Consult Printer Manual

  • Manual and Documentation: Refer to the printer’s user manual or online documentation for specific troubleshooting steps related to wireless connectivity. Manufacturers often provide detailed guides for resolving common issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
