Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I have noticed that when I send a document to print, there is a delay of up to 2 minutes before it finally prints out.

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth?  Is the printer shut down when not printing?  If you send a subsequent print job a few minutes after the first does it also have the delay?

If the printer is shut down with an external switch (like a power strip, for example) it will cause a more extensive startup servicing routine.  It is best to have the printer plugged into a live outlet 24/7 and only use the printer's power switch to shut down the printer.
