Hp printer 7855

I cannot connect to WiFi.   I’m pretty sure my problem is I had some WiFi work done and they added a password to it.   The printer still picks up the WiFi but it isn’t encrypted with password and won’t connect.  It’s a stupid glitch.  Just need to delete old and recognize new one that encrypted and I think my problem will go away.

@Farmer25,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

  • From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
  • Touch Network Setup.
  • Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
  • Touch Yes.
  • Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

This clears any old Wi-Fi credentials, allowing you to reconfigure the printer for the new network.

Alternatively, you can use the HP Smart app or the printer's web-based setup page (accessed via the printer's IP address) to connect the printer to Wi-Fi.

3. Check Your Router’s Compatibility

  • Ensure that the Wi-Fi network is using the 2.4 GHz frequency, as the LaserJet P1102W may not be compatible with 5 GHz networks.
  • If your new router is dual band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), make sure the printer is connecting to the correct band.
