Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Afternoon, my 3055A dropped off the network and it appears there is nothing I can do to get it to join again.

Is there any reset of the network device on the printer I can do?

I have tried WPS push button and PIN and neither work.

Any help or suggestions would be great - thanks....

Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

If the issue persists, let's do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

 

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.)  Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

 

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Let's reset the network settings of the Printer: 1. Press the Wireless button to display the Wireless Menu. 2. From the Wireless Menu, select Settings. 3. From the Settings menu, select Restore Defaults. 4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.

 

Once done, connect the Printer back to the Wi-Fi.

No I already tried that (sorry didn't put that in the original post).  It says its resetting then the wireless sign flashes blue for about 5 minutes then the blue light goes out.

Thanks - I've downloaded the software and run it - I get a happy face but in the print queue the firmware update stays there..

Is this normal?

OK 15 minutes later and print job has gone.

Powered off/on nothing

restored defaults again blue flashing light and then off

 

I guess that's it for Wireless printing.... 😞

OK, uninstalled everything as suggested, it asked me to unplug the usb cable too.

When running the install from the downloaded software it doesn't tell you when to plug in the printer cable.

 

I'm not sure I understand how this is going to help get the wireless connectivity working on a currently not connected printer? (or even when it is connected)

OK after plugging in the USB cable it prompted for a network to join... then worked!!!
