I forgot my printer's password and would like to reset it. I have already tried both a network reset and a factory reset. I don't believe the factory reset actually worked because the Wi-Fi light never flashed white, only blue. Neither method cleared the password.

Hi @mutdogaf81,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the password for your HP Deskjet 3632 printer, you can follow the steps below.
- Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to your computer or Wi-Fi network.
- On your computer, open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) and enter the IP address of your printer in the address bar. The IP address should be mentioned in the printer's user manual or can be found by printing a network configuration page.
- Press Enter to access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- In the EWS interface, navigate to the "Settings" or "Security" section.
- Look for an option related to "Password" or "Security Settings." Click on it to proceed.
- You may be prompted to enter the current password. If you haven't changed it before, the default password is usually "admin" or blank (no password). Try these options first.
- If the default password doesn't work, you can try performing a factory reset on your printer. Look for a "Reset" or "Restore Factory Defaults" option within the EWS interface.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the factory reset process. This will erase any custom settings, including the password, and restore the printer to its default state.
- Once the printer has restarted, you should be able to access it without a password. However, it's recommended to set a new password to secure your printer. Go back to the "Password" or "Security Settings" section in the EWS and create a new password of your choice.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
