Hi @Dreamon100,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your HP DeskJet 3700 is not connecting.

To assist you better, could you please share a few more details about what exactly is happening?

  • Are you trying to connect via Wi-Fi, USB, or mobile (HP Smart app)
  • What error do you see (if any)?
  • Is the printer not found during setup, or was it working before and suddenly stopped?

Also, please let us know:

  • Have you changed your Wi-Fi network name or password recently?
  • Did you get a new router or modem
  • Have there been any recent changes in settings or updates on your device?

While we wait for your details, you can try these basic steps:

  • Restart:
    • Printer
    • Wi-Fi router
    • Your computer/phone
  • Make sure:
    • Printer is in setup mode (blinking blue light)
    • Your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network

Once you share a bit more about the issue, I’ll guide you step-by-step with the exact solution. We’ll get your printer connected again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @Dreamon100,

Thank you for your response.

Your DeskJet 3700 connects with WPS and prints; the printer can join the Wi‑Fi network. If it later shows as not found and the blue wireless light blinks, HP says that usually means the printer is disconnected from the network.

A few focused checks may help:

What to do

  • Make sure the printer and iPad are on the same Wi‑Fi network.

  • If the wireless light is blinking, reconnect the printer to Wi‑Fi:

    • On printers without a touchscreen, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds until the light flashes, then within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the router.

  • Move the printer closer to the router to rule out a weak/intermittent signal.

  • Check whether AirPrint is enabled:

    • Open the HP app

    • Select your printer

    • Go to Advanced Settings

    • Open Network

    • Look for AirPrint

    • If available, turn AirPrint on

  • If AirPrint still does not find the printer, HP recommends using Wi‑Fi Direct or the HP app as an alternate print method.
