I have a dj3735 pr8nter and cannot get it to reconnect to WiFi after changing Internet provider. I am also on instant ink contract so can't print anything until this issue is resolved. I have tried all the relevant wireless quick start guides with no success.
Help, is the printer broken or is it me!

Hi @Yorkshirelass78,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP DeskJet 3735 connection issue after changing your internet provider can usually be resolved by reconfiguring the printer to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. Since you're on an Instant Ink contract, reconnecting is essential to resume printing. Here's a step-by-step guide.
Reset the Printer's Network Settings
- Restore Network Defaults:
- Turn on the printer.
- Hold down the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- The network settings will be reset, and the printer will enter setup mode.
Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi
- Install the HP Smart App:
- If not already installed, download the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- HP Smart for Windows
- HP Smart for Mac
- HP Smart for iOS/Android
- If not already installed, download the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Add Your Printer to the App:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click on Set up a new printer or Add Printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to the Wi-Fi. Ensure you select your new network and enter the correct password.
Update Instant Ink Account Information
- Log into the Instant Ink Account:
- Go to the HP Instant Ink website.
- Log in with your HP account credentials.
- Update Network and Printer Details:
- Update the network information if necessary.
- Verify the printer status after connecting to Wi-Fi.
Perform a Test Print
- Print a wireless test report to confirm the connection:
- Press and hold the Information button on your printer until all the buttons on the control panel light up.
- Press the Information and Wireless buttons simultaneously.

Note:
If the issue persists:
- Try connecting the printer using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) method:
- Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for 3 seconds.
- Press the WPS button on your router within 2 minutes.
- Verify the router's settings, ensuring it's operating on a 2.4 GHz band (not 5 GHz, as many HP printers only support 2.4 GHz networks).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
