Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I bought this printer new and am trying to replace an existing HP printer that died.  I have gone through all set up recommendations and troubleshooting to no avail.  I even reset and reconfigured the router.  HP Smart eventually finds the printer, but also says "internet unavailable. Cannot auto-connect".  I've tried WPS to no avail.

The printer's Wireless Network Test Results say its Wireless PASSes for On and Working, but says the Network Name/SSID Found FAIL.  NOTE:  this printer only access 2.4 Ghz wireless, which I have and it's running (and the name of that  network is unique.  I also changed my phone to that network and retried all the auto setup steps - no luck).

I don't have a USB-A cable, so that hasn't been tried.  I hate to buy one just for a 5 minute setup process.

I had a lot of struggles with setting up tree former printer, until i learned about the 2.4 Ghz restriction, but it has worked flawlessly for months since then.  Unfortunately, it hard crashed ( it will no longer even power up).

What the heck can i try now?

I did find a way around - with a laptop that had existing HP software.  When i changed that to the 2.4 Gh network, i was able to add the printer successfully.
