Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

In the HP Smart App, and in the Windows 11 configuration web site (via IP address in Edge browser), it is not possible to disable the secondary WiFi SSID that the printer broadcasts.

I do not even have a "Network" tab when I look up this printer on the browser. I only have "Home, Information and Maintenance", neither of which has anything to do with Wireless nor networking.

When using the HP Smart app, I can view everything about the printer, however the WiFi direct option is stuck at the "On" state and cannot be changed. I can view the SSID, encryption type and the password, however none of them can be changed or disabled.

The printer has been properly power cycled, and the firmware is current.

@Bribe

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting wireless connectivity issues, I am glad to assist you.

Restoring the wireless network settings

You can revert the wireless network settings to the default values. Press and hold the (Wireless) button on the control panel for about 20 seconds. When the (Attention) LED and the (Power) LED to start blinking together, release the (Wireless) button.

Then follow the steps mentioned on page number 34 in this user guide for the steps to set up the wireless connection on the printer:- Click here

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
