@Cessie, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY 5020 All-in-One Printer is showing “Disabled” even though Wi-Fi is turned on, it usually means the printer's wireless connection or network settings are not properly configured. Let’s walk through a few steps to get it back online:

Restart Printer and Router

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from power.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router.
  • After 30 seconds, plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check Wireless Connection Status

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless icon.
  • If it shows Disabled, press Settings > Wireless Settings > Wireless On/Off, and make sure it’s enabled.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi

  1. On the printer, go to:
    • Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard
  2. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully.
  4. Wait for the printer to connect. You should see a confirmation message.

Print Wireless Test Report

  • Go to Settings > Reports > Wireless Test Report.
  • This will help diagnose any connection issues.

Reinstall Printer on Your PC

If the printer is still not responding:

  • Remove the printer from Devices and Printers on your PC.
  • Download and install the full driver/software from HP: Official HP® Support

Optional: Use HP Smart App

  • Download the HP Smart App from HP Smart. HP Smart
  • Use it to reconnect your printer and manage settings easily.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
