Just installed a new router.  Printer has been on USB connection.

iPad was the only thing I wanted on WiFi, but, now I see my printer listed as as a wifi network.

How do I completely remove printer from wifi?

Thank you.

Thank you to the person who replied.

I did shut off the wifi on the printer. However, it still shows up on the iPad's network list along with my iPad's wifi network name. Could something in systems preference be incorrect?

Ref the above User Guide and go to page 128 it shows how to turn on WiFi Direct.

Use the same steps and turn it off.

When I turn wifi off on printer., it shows that it is off.

BUT, when I turn on my iPAD , not only does that appear( as it should) in the network list, but, so does the printer.

HP Recommended

WiFi Direct is a feature of the printer that lets you connect to the printer Directly.

if you turn it off you will not see it anymore

What do you think about this?

Use my computer to login to printer's control screen, give it a name and tell it the SSID and password to use. It should shut off it's own network and use mine.

Thank you for your advice.
