HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I moved my office and the building has wifi but they won't let me connect any printers on their wifi.  I have to use ethernet now.  Printer is working, but I was signed up for HPSmart Ink and paper and found out I can no longer use as I am not connect to wifi.  I have stopped the subscription but now each time I print I get a message on the printer screen "Connect Printer to update HP instant Ink Status" then I have to choose CONNECT or OK.  I have to chose ok each time I send something to the printer.  How can I get this off?  Help!

I cannot connect my printer to the buildings wifi because it is shared.  Thus I cant use the HP smart for Instaink cartridge refills.  I have plugged it directly into my MC via ethernet to use.  I keep getting this message on my screen and have to push the OK button to print every time.  Is this because I am still using the HP Instaink cartridges?  If no, how can I stop this so the printing will be automatic and I don't have to push the OK button every time. BEC55914-06EE-4ACF-9C1A-EECDD8ACC48D.jpeg

Hi @JoannCoop,

The shared wifi may not work or be recommended as it won't be stable.

Are you still enrolled in instant ink? The printer should be on active internet connection always.

If not enrolled or if there is any due payment, the printer may not work.

If not enrolled or canceled the account, you need to use regular cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
